Hi David,
It is used here to form track projections:
and the function for performing projections to a plane will probably need a new parameter to specify the angle (normal) of the plane here:
and the corresponding change needed in the “straight line projection function”:
Please let me know if you need more info

Hello Daniel,
I can do this fairly quickly if you can point me to where in your tracking code you need this information for the projections. Once I make the changes I will submit a PR to your star-sw-1 dev branch.
Best,
David

Hello FWD group, David K,
We have discussed many times the update needed for the position / angle of the FCS calorimeter projection planes. However, I’ve never been able to get the suggestions to work as expected (probably something simple that I am missing)
I’d like to ask for the FCS group to help me fix this. Specifically it doesn’t work in a simulation job (which I use as my closure tests for everything).
This can be provided in a number of ways (from most proffered to least but still acceptable)
- Submit a PR against my dev branch
- Push directly the changes as a commit
- Send me some working code updates to incorporate (point me to a directory with the changes etc.)
- We can meet and work through it together.
This is one of the things I want to check off for the upcoming production – so I’d like to take care of this ASAP and I suspect that with the right people it is a ~1 hr task.
P.S. sorry for the confusion with the meeting yesterday, we did have a short meeting with a few people.
We will have our next meeting on Jan 15th at 11am
Best,
