Dear all,

As you know, Au+Au running ends on December 8th. After that the sTGC will not be included in data taking. Therefore, December 8th will be the final day of sTGC.

My plan is to begin purging the sTGC system on December 8th for approximately one month in order to clean the components and remove any remaining pentane from the system. I may also plan to begin disassembling some components at that time.

The interlock cabinet, gas mixing cabinet, HV Caen power supply will be saved at BNL.

The detector, LV, ROBs, FOBs are going back to China. Shipping boxes are preserved in the assembly hall. But, metal fixture for packing are missing.

All the cables are recycled.

Before we conclude sTGC operations, please let me know if any special runs are needed for calibration or for future R&D?

I hope the data collected with the sTGC will be very valuable. I have also learned a lot from working on this project. Thank you all for the opportunity.
