I somehow missed that `fwdTrack` is not in the production chain (I thought it was part of base option). 

Gene - you are correct that what we have now does allow afterburner mode. However, I still intended to have the fwdTrack option included to provide FWD tracks in the current (albeit limited value) version until the final alignments are in place. 

Sorry I missed this. Let’s talk today since I am at BNL. I want to make sure I understand what options there are.

Thank you for having a look at the output files. The production intent as I have understood it (and repeatedly have tried to verify) is that it will enable post-processing FWD track reconstruction, by ensuring the FWD subsytem hits are all present in the DSTs. Maybe you can verify that much?
