Dear All,

As we discussed, I prepared a jet abstract on pp and p+A for IS2023 conference.
We will decide the speaker later.

Please have a look at it and let me know. we need to submit this abstract within 1-2 days.

Thank you
Nihar

Dear Helen,

Then I can send a jet abstract by tomorrow.
Barbara can work on HF side when she gets time.

Nihar

HI,

If Nihar and Barbara you can prepare abstracts along those lines that
would be great. We can work to get them approved over the weekend.
There’s time to find speakers if the abstracts are accepted.
Hopefully people are keen to go as IS is an interesting conference in
our field, especially for those interested in learning more about the
EIC’s program and how this compliments the work we do in HI.

While I propose that they focus on pp and pA we can also try to leave
the door open to show relevant AA results, ie.e for the HF how the
quarkonia probe something related to the initial temperature.

Hi Helen, All,

That's a good idea.
The deadline is today, but if organizers are fine with a bit late
submission, I guess we can have something approved by the beginning
of next week.
From the HF side, I would propose to focus on quarkonia in pp
(including vs event activity and J/psi in jets) and in pAu.

If there is no volunteer now, I can prepare the quarkonium abstract
and as discussed, we can find a speaker later.

Cheers,
Barbara

Dear Helen,

For quick solution, if it is ok we can send our HP2023 merged
abstract
on these topics (jet substructure observables in pp and HF J/shi
in
isobar and pp event activity analyses) with a little
modifications on
title and abstract. Then we can decide speakers later on for that
I
think we have time.

Hi,

I know this is late but I think there’s potential to still
write
something. I was wondering if as a collaboration we should
submit two
abstracts to IS. One on quarkonia (maybe even just HF) in pp and
pA
and one on jet and substructure in pp and pA. These seem like
crisp
abstracts for IS. We could potentially write abstract now and
decide
on speakers if/when the abstracts get selected.

The deadline is very close, but I am sure we can submit a couple
late
as long as they aren’t too late
