Hi group,
I intend to submit an abstract for QM 2023. I plan to use my Multifold results to continue to explore potential soft-hard correlations, both what I showed at DIS and also potentially other variables such as r_c vs jet charge.
A rough introduction for r_c: This is an observable proposed in https://journals.aps.org/prd/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevD.105.L051502, and have been measured by H1 https://www-h1.desy.de/psfiles/confpap/DIS2022/H1prelim-22-032.pdf. It is defined as r_c = (N_SS - N_OS)/(N_SSĀ + N_OS), where N_SS (N_OS) is the number of jets whose two leading tracks are of the same-sign (opposite-sign) charge. This observable is sensitive to different hadronization models, since for example, a string fragmentation would bias towards a negative r_c.
I propose a tentative title for my abstract along the lines of "Probing soft-hard correlation and hadronization with jets at RHIC".
