A way to investigate charm interaction with a medium at lower energies is through the measurement of Heavy Flavor Electrons (HFE), which are electrons emitted from the semi-leptonic decay of heavy-flavor hadrons.

We will present a study of  heavy-flavor electrons (HFE) in Au+Au collisions at \sqrt{s_{NN}}=54.4 GeV using data taken in the year 2017 by the STAR experiment. Inclusive electrons were reconstructed using TOF, TPC and BEMC, up to p_T of ~ 4 GeV/c. We will present the corrected HFE yields and R_CP for four centrality ranges: 0--20%, 20--40%, 40--60% and 0--60%. The shown results can be complemented with the published HFE v_2 measurement.
