Dear all,

I would like to submit an abstract for QM23 titled "Measurement of multiplicity dependence of Upsilon meson production in $p+p = \sqrt{s} = 510$GeV".

Investigating Upsilon meson production allows the study of the properties of strongly interacting matter, such as interactions with the quark-gluon plasma and the gluon content in nucleons. Nevertheless, a detailed description of the quarkonium production mechanism is not yet completely understood. Production models are instead used to describe the bound state formation. Comparison of the model calculations to the experimental measurements are utilised to help to improve those models and increase the insight into the production of heavy flavour mesons.

This analysis presents the result of a study of Upsilon states production in 500 GeV pp collisions recorded by the STAR detector during its Run17, measured in the dielectron channel. Shown results are for combined Upsilon(1S+2S+3S). These include transverse momentum and rapidity spectra. The main aim of this study is however the dependence of normalised Upsilon meson yield on self-normalised charged particle multiplicity. The presented analysis utilises the largest sample of Upsilon mesons the STAR experiment has obtained from pp collisions in the dielectron channel.

Best regards,
Jakub
