Dear Conveners, All,

We are considering submitting an abstract for QM2023 on the azimuthal
correlation between D0 and D0bar in Au+Au 200 GeV run 14 and 16. This
is a follow up on a study we started some time ago
(https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/meetings/star-collaboration-meeting-september-2021/heavy-flavor-pwg-parallel-session-ii/update-d0-d0
) and I'd like to give update of its status at the meeting this week.

Best regards,
Daniel

Title: Study of azimuthal correlations of D0 and D0-bar mesons in Au+Au
collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV in STAR

Measurements of nuclear modification factor for charmed mesons
production in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC and the LHC provide ample
evidence of strong interaction of charmed quarks with the Quark-Gluon
Plasma (QGP). Yet, details of the charm in-medium interaction are not
known in sufficient detail. Measurement of azimuthal correlations of
charmed mesons can help pin down the relative role of radiative and
collisional energy loss for c quarks, allowing for better constraining
the transport coefficients of the QGP extracted from a comparison of
models with the experiment data.
We will present a measurement of azimuthal correlations of D0-D0bar
pairs at mid-rapidity in Au+Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV using data
collected by the STAR experiment in 2014 and 2016.
