Hi Dandan,
nice abstract. In the interest of time, I'm sending my comments here.
I suggest to simply the title:
Beam energy and system size dependence of heavy flavor production at STAR
- L1: open heavy-flavor -> open heavy-flavor hadrons
- L2-4: The change of quarkonia production ... - this sentence is not clear to me. Quarkonia are not good tools to study energy loss, also it's not clear to me what "thermalization levels" means.
Please rephrase this sentence. I would suggest focusing here on a brief open heavy flavor motivation. In the next sentence you have motivation for quarkonia studies.
- L3: heavy-flavor decay electrons -> electrons from heavy-flavor hadron decays
- L8: states and at -> states at
- L9: offers this opportunity -> offers opportunity to study the energy and size size dependence of heavy-flavor production
- L10: samples collected in 2018 from isobaric collisions -> samples of isobaric collisions
- L11: and 27 GeV -> 27 and 54 GeV
- L13: the first measurement of ψ(2S) -> the first measurements of ψ(2S) and J/ψ polarization
- L14: RHIC -> RHIC, performed in isobaric collisions,
- L14-15: . ψ(2S) is reconstructed via the e
+e
− ... the signal significance. - I would remove this sentence. Instead, you should also mention other measurements that are planned to be shown, as suggested below.
- L19-21: In addition, the first measurement of J/ψ polarization in heavy-ion collisions at RHIC will also be shown in both Helicity and Collins-Soper frames which provides -> J/ψ polarization measurement provides
Then add before "Furthermore":
New measurements of inclusive J/ψ production in Au+Au collisions at
√sNN = 14.6, 19.6 and 27 GeV will be also presented.
- L23: remove "we will present"
- L24-25: of HFE that are emitted from the semi-leptonic decay of heavy-flavor hadrons. -> of HFE in Au+Au collisions at √sNN = 54.4 GeV will be shown.
