Hi Veronika,

This will be a great contribution to the program at the workshop. I have some small comments on your most recent version, below.

Thanks,
Isaac

6. Maybe this is obvious to heavy flavor experts, but to me it was a bit unclear at first why we focus on charm quarks when HFE is a mix of b and c. I assumed it was because the charm cross section was dominant in this kinematic range, since the overall energy with the mass contribution would be lower and easier to produce at these lower energies. I ran a quick FONLL calculation to see if that is the case, and it is. But for 62.4 GeV (the lowest it goes), I see that the B->e cross section overtakes the D->e cross section at around 5 GeV/c. Since you have some space on the slide, maybe a small comment could be made that in this sqrt{s} and pT range specifically, charm is dominant (or even show a FONLL plot with the two contributions on the same pad to really demonstrate it). On this point, I'm not sure if "b" is a typo, but I would assume it should be "c -> e" as the dominant decay channel, right?

7. At first, I didn't notice your red border around the panel. I'd suggest making the line thicker.

5 (slides are misnumbered; check throughout). The statement is that the influence of QGP gradually decreases, but for the phi and eHF, the decrease is abrupt, with a flat trend for all data points until the lowest measured collision energy for each, where it drops. I suggest removing the word "gradually".

6. I found it really hard to see what was going on in this plot from a reasonable distance. Unless you need the 10-20 and 20-40% for a physics point, they should be removed so the central and peripheral plots can be made bigger for improved visibility. I also have to complain as a color-blind person that they picked the absolute worst colors for the STAR and PHENIX comparison -- to me they look almost identical -- but that's my fault for not making a comment before it was published :).

7. "Stronger QGP effects" -> "Stronger parton energy loss"

8. Maybe you'll say this verbally during the talk, but it would be good to also write what LVMDE is (you don't necessarily have to write it in words since that would take up some space -- you could just write "(\rho, \omega, \phi decays)"

9. Again here, maybe HDE is jargon that all HF people know, but I think you could add "(\rho, \omega, \phi + J/\psi, \Upsilon + Drell-Yan + K_e3)" or something similar, so people know what has been subtracted from the NPE contribution.

17. Maybe a comment could be made here also about the run 24 pAu run since you mention the pAu J/psi results. Could make a point about the small hint of potential enhancement at high pT for the STAR results which could be resolved with higher statistics.

Hello Veronika,

Please find my comments on your nice slides.
With these implemented, I sign off.

Slide4: introduce somewhere (before) "HFE"
In this slide, please mention what is "e^HF"? Mainly decay channel of b
to e  [helpful for phd students]

"c quarks gain most collectivity at T ≈ 𝑇c" -> Give reference here.

After slide 11, you could add one slide with your concluding remarks and
plan.

Cheers
Nihar
