Hello Barbara

I talked to Wei, and he is not very comfortable presenting the physics of Jpsi polarization and/or spin alignment which he is not very familiar with. So I asked him not to include them in his talk. It is probably sufficient that I present them in my talk. Hope this is fine.

Hi Rongrong,

thanks for this explanation.
Yes, I've noticed that the overlap is small, just wanted to make sure it was agreed upon between you.
The sharing of material looks good to me. I would just propose that Wei also includes a slide or two on J/psi polarization and/or global spin alignment, since his talk is on recent J/psi results. And I think it's fine to have these topics in your talk as well, in the way as you have it now.

Cheers,
Barbara

Hello Barbara

As I understand from the organizers, I am supposed to give a comprehensive overview of STAR heavy flavor results (25 minutes), while Wei can concentrate on a few recent measurements (15 minutes). Since Wei is less familiar with open HF physics, I asked him to focus on quarkonium results even though open heavy flavor is mentioned in his title. As you can see, our slides have minimal overlap (two figures) which I think should be OK. Also, my talk is in Monday morning while his is in Thursday afternoon.

Hi Rongrong, Wei,

I see that both of your talks are at the same conference, and they have essentially the same titles.
Are there any guidelines from the organizers about what they expect from each talk ?
Would it make more sense in this case to focus one talk on (open) HF and the other on quarkonia ?

Thanks,
Barbara

Hello All,

I have also been invited to present at the CFNS-npQCD workshop. My presentation is titled 'Recent STAR heavy flavor and quarkonia study highlight,' and it is similar to Rongrong's talk. I would greatly appreciate any suggestions or comments you might have to offer.
You can find my slides at this link: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/wei_CFNS_v1.pdf

Best,
Wei

Dear All

I was invited by the CFNS-npQCD workshop (https://indico.cfnssbu.physics.sunysb.edu/event/110/) organizers to present an overview of the STAR heavy flavor results. Even though it is not a STAR talk, I will exclusively present STAR results. So I would like to seek your comments and suggestions on my talk, a first draft of which can be found here: https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/RMa_CFNS_npQCD_v1.pdf.

Your feedback is more than welcome. Thanks.

Best
Rongrong
