Dear Barbara,

Hello Barbara, thank you for the comments.
Most of your comments were applied to my new version. Please find my new version (Jeongmyung_2024_HP_Poster_v4.pdf).

Also,

- What do you mean by "Mimic of previous measurements" in the green box ?

since we mainly follow the STAR h+jet paper, most of our analysis chains were motivated by this paper. The meaning of ‘mimic’ is that we have implemented previous semi-inclusive recoil jet p_{T,jet} measurements with our simulated data set. It would be a good starting point before we build the new 2D measurement framework (p_{T,jet}, M_{jet}).
I added ‘h+jet, STAR’ at the ‘green box’ in the flow chart table.

Thank you,
Jeongmyung

HI Jeongmyung,

Nice poster. Please find below my comments.

Abstract
- low pT,jet range -> low pT,jet values
- sNN = 200 GeV Au+Au collision background -> Au+Au collision
background at sNN = 200 GeV

Introduction
- I would remove "(pT,jet < 5 GeV/c)" - even at a bit higher pT it's
challenging in central collisions

- "9 < pT,trigger <30 (GeV/c)" - is this the trigger range you're
using, or is it just from the paper ? If you follow this selection, I
suggest to rather put this information to the analysis details
- I think you could make the introduction more compact and in this way
focus more on the describing the analysis details in the following
section

Analysis details
- What do you mean by "Mimic of previous measurements" in the green
box ?
- rho estimation -> background, rho, estimation
- Correction of smearing -> Correction for smearing
By smearing you mean the background fluctuations ? It's not clear

Results I, Corrected recoil jet yield spectra
- Suggest to make the text in color in the gray boxes bold, otherwise
it might be not well visible
- I'm missing explanation what are different "ME +" - if you make
introduction more compact, you could add this information to the
analysis details
- It's almost impossible to read legend of the rho plot

Results II
- It's imp;possible to see the legend of the right plot

Conclusions
- Text is quite small, would be good to increase size of the text
- 200 GeV Au+Au data -> Au+Au data at \sqrt{s_NN} = 200 GeV

Cheers,
Barbara

Dear Yi,

Thank you for the comments!
Your comment regarding the abstract was applied. Please find my new
version (Jeongmyung_2024_HP_poster_v3.pdf).

- Could you please remind me that if the PYTHIA simulation
passed the
GEANT simulation?

- No. Since this study strongly focuses on the correction of the
heavy-ion background effects, only 200 GeV PYTHIA events with hard
QCD
and toy thermal background have been utilized. There was no
consideration regarding instrumental effects in this study.

Thank you,
Jeongmyung

Dear Jeongmyung,

Thanks a lot for the nice poster, and sorry for missing this
before.
I only have two minor comments for your consideration.
- Abstract: I would remove ", however, ".
- Could you please remind me that if the PYTHIA simulation passed
the
GEANT simulation? If so, it would be great to mention it and have
a
short introduction for STAR. Otherwise, I think the only
connection to
STAR is in the "title", "flow chart", "collision energy", and
"future
plan". And this study actually can be a more generic one.

Cheers,
Yi

Dear Nihar,

Hello, thank you for the comments.
I applied most of your comments in the new version. Please find my
new
version (Jeongmyung_2024_HP_poster_v2.pdf)

Also, I keep thinking about your comment regarding 'Flow chart'.

_Flow chart: -> The need of this flow chart is not clear at
this
stage. I think you can make a flow chart of your analysis
procedure.

One of the main purposes of this poster is to show the status of
the
on-going analysis, and at this stage, I believe it is better to
keep
the
current flow chart.

Thank you,
Jeongmyung

Hello Jeongmyung,

Please find my comments on your nice poster.

Introduction:

_Particularly dominant contribution in low pT,jet region -> you
need
to mention what Pt,jet range you are indicating. Low pT,jet < 5
GeV/c
is that you mean.
_Challenges in central heavy-ion collisions -> Challenges in
heavy-ion
collisions
_ E.g. -> e. g.
_pT spectra down to very low pT,jet -> Please mention what is
that
"very low pT" ?
_pT,trigger -> need to define

_Searching parton virtuality evolution in central heavy- ion
collisions -> Studying parton virtuality evolution in central
heavy-
ion collisions
_ virtuality evolution -> it would be better to mention what is
"virtuality evolution"?
_ Please mention Why do we need to study virtuality evolution in
heavy-ion collisions?

Analysis Details:
_Flow chart: -> The need of this flow chart is not clear at this
stage. I think you can make a flow chart of your analysis
procedure.

_"Data set" -> As you are not using any data, so you just mention
"Simulated events"
_200 GeV pp collisions -> You need to mention what type of event
sample you have generated. Is it non-trigger (no-Bias) or
triggered
events for this study ( like high pT hadron, gamma, pi0 trigger
events)
_"Thermal background" -> Need to explain what is thermal
background?

Results:

_ You need to mention what are SE and ME ?
_ In response matrices, you have not mentioned, what effect you
have
implanted to create this response matrix? Like detector effects,
and/or heavy-ion background fluctuations effect.
_ Corrected recoil jet yield spectra -> You need to mention what
correction you are implementing (see above comment).

In conclusion:
You need to mention also outlook of this study.

Best
Nihar
