Hello Austin and Tristan,

Thank you for this interesting measurement.

Please find my comments below.

Slide-1:

…in sqrt (sNN) = 200 GeV/c^2 STAR Au-Au collisions -> …in Au+Au collisions at sqrt(sNN)=200 GeV by STAR
[ Unit should be GeV ]

Mention below your name “(for the STAR Collaboration)”

Slide-2

Forms ~1 fm/c after a collision surpassing a critical temperature 𝑇𝐶 ~155 𝑀𝑒𝑉 -> this “~1fm/c” is a model dependent and still in debate. So better to give reference. ; this Tc~155 MeV is at mu_B =0. Please mention this.

Slide-4
In those cartoons, you could show center of circles and distance is impact factor

Slide6-6
_ ρ-subtraction … -> Mention what is rho
_ Mention which year AuAu data you are using?
_ 200 GeV/c^2 ->. 200 GeV
_ -30 < vz < 20 cm -> Is this correct ?

Slide7
More energy available in the underlying event as the centrality of the collision increases -> Not clear, can you please rephrase this?

Slide10

_ “STAR Work in Progress” -> “Uncorrected Results”
_ Y axis unit: (Gev) -> (GeV/c)
_ Cause increased medium temperature, leading to more energy clustered in jets -> Not sure what you want to say? Please clarify this sentence. How is this related to medium temp?
_ Less energy clustered into jets -> Same for this bullet

Best
Nihar

Hi all,

I'm sharing this on behalf of Austin Rosypal, an undergraduate in our
group. I've cc'd him on this email.

Cheers,
