=======================================1) Paper preview: Study of Central Exclusive Production of $\pi^+\pi^-$, $K^+K^-$ and $p \bar{p}$ Pairs in Proton-Proton Collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 510$ GeV- Brief introduction from the PWG conveners (5’) [Tommy Tsang]- Open discussions (35')- Summary from the conveners' panel (5’)
PAs: Tomas Truhlar, Wlodek Guryn, Jaroslav BielcikTarget journal: JHEP
2) PWGC preview wait time
- STAR is seeing a very high rate of papers and paper proposals currently (which is excellent!). Also means, lots of requests for PWGC previews
- Had 31 PWGC previews since March 2024. Currently have previews scheduled till February 24, 2025
- Introduces a wait time, how best to deal with this was discussed.
- PWGC previews do not require analysis note or paper draft be prepared. But PAs should not wait for the PWGC preview to work on them. Should use the wiat time to work on the analysis note and paper draft.
- If the PWG conveners see that an analysis have paper draft and analysis note in a mature stage and are waiting for the PWGC preview, we will prioritize the analysis for PWGC preview. Either will schedule earlier or will hold additional meeting for the preview
3) Data production status
- Moving ahead with data re-production for the 4 FXT energies and COL19.6 GeV
- Expects to start by this week
4) STAR libraries on CVFMS
- Plan to discontinue the provision of software libraries through AFS and instead
provide only via CVMFS.
- Need to have all the libraries that analyzers are actively using to be on CVMFS.
- Gene needs to know if any of the libraries below that are currently not on
CVFMS, should be made available. If currently used or planned to be used in near
future, please let conveners know.
