Hello Dandan

As promised during the meeting, here is the toy MC I was thinking of:
1) Generate Jpsi distribution within |y| < 0.8, as you use now
2) Decay Jpsi into electron-positron pair. You can add different polarization values for tests.
3) Assume we have a fully-efficiency detector with limited acceptance, i.e. efficiency is 100% within |eta| < 0.8 and 0% for |eta| > 0.8
4) Reconstruct J/psi within detector acceptance
5) Correct for acceptance using mixed event
6) Check if you can recover the input polarization parameters

Then, you can repeat the process by using realistic 3D efficiency from embedding, and check if you can obtain the input parameters with mixed-event correction alone. If not, you can check if you can recover the input parameters by additionally applying single electron efficiency correction.

Please let me know if anything is unclear. Thanks.

Hello All

We will have our weekly MTD local meeting at 10:00 am BNL time this Wednesday. We will start with a rehearsal for Wei's CFNS workshop talk.

Thanks!

Best regards
Rongrong
