Hi all,

I re-ran the jobs again this afternoon, and found run 22084039 was back to normal -- looks like it was indeed a fast offline issue rather than the run itself.

Regarding the positive/negative tracks average pt plot (my slide 7 today), the two plots on the top left are the average pt of the positive/negative tracks of each run, and the error bars here are the error on the mean (within the run); the two plots on their bottom, on the other hand, are the standard deviation of respective distributions. I wasn't sure about what the case was in the meeting because I need to check for bugs; I wouldn't dwell into too many details here, but now I am confident to say that this is a real thing. There are runs where their pt distributions have a very large standard deviation.

I'll dig into this more later by picking out those runs with a large deviation and look at their pt distribution, and I'll let people know when I do find out.

Best,

Hi,

First of all, many thanks to Daniel and Lanny for holding the fort while I was offline for the past couple of weeks!

We will have our Run21 QA meeting tomorrow (Friday) at noon (EST).

Details, including the Zoom link can be found at the following event link:

https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/event/2021/03/26/run-21-qa-board-meeting

It would be good to hear from all PWG delegates any feedback on improvements, additions or any other feedback from the PWGs to the QA that they prepare each week.

Thanks,

-Frank
