I'm definitely in favor of starting fastoffline so people can start poking at things. My only concern is with personpower - I think we do need Lanny for the first week of collisions, and I don't know if Mariusz has the training necessary to do this by himself yet since we planned to have Lanny help this first week. I'll let them speak up in this regard.

Hi Rosi,
During today’s operation meeting, people wanted to look at offline QA for the sTGC cosmic stream that has been already taken. That’s why I asked Ting about the recent offline QA status. I also inquired with Gene regarding how to start the process, because it involves producing MuDst/picoDst files from daq files. I know there has been a delay in this year’s plan. But it’s never too early to get things started.
Thanks,
Zilong

STAR policy is in general that a person still receives shift credit if they’ve signed up for a shift and then that shift is canceled, so Mariusz is receiving credit but I have told him he is not required to do anything just yet. The very first week of QA shifts will be done by Lanny and Mariusz together - as Lanny does the first week in general.
