Hello Takahito

Thanks for taking on the task.

I had a look at the vz distribution for this data set before. See slide 3 of https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/20220627_PWG_FirstLook.pdf. You can see that the distribution is much narrower than BES-II energies. I think a cut of |vz| < 100 cm should be loose enough for QA. The actual vz cut will probably be determined during the centrality calibration process driven by statistics.

You can see on the same slide the vy vs. vx distribution, and their peaks are shifted from (0,0). If you can do sqrt{(vx+0.35)^2+(vy+0.35)^2} < 1.5 cm, that would be good, I think.

In terms of triggers, I suggest to use only zdcmb (700001). zdcmb_gmt is a subset of zdcmb, and zdc_tofwindow_fastdet only reads out fast detectors not including TPC.

Hope this helps.

Best
Rongrong

Dear QA board,

I was asked to do run-by-run QA for the Run19 AuAu200 dataset, and I would like to ask for your confirmation.
Currently, I am using |vz| < 145 cm && Vr < 2 cm for event selection following this page prepared for the BES-II dataset:
https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/pwg/common/bes-ii-run-qa Are these cuts still applicable to the 200GeV dataset?

Also, the following ZDC MB trigger IDs are selected for this QA study. Could you please let me know if any other trigger should be included?

zdcmb                 700001
zdcmb_gmt             700002
zdc_tofwindow_fastdet 700003
zdc_tofwindow_fastdet 700013

Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Takahito
