Hi Sooraj,

This is a very good point. I believe there are some codes to look at the Fast Offline data that have been used by the QA volunteers from the PWGs.

We will discuss this at the next QA meeting. I would request the QA volunteers from each PWG (QA’ed last year and want to do this year too) to join the meeting and help us making the roadmap for Run 24.

Thanks,
Ashik

Hi Ashik, QA Board,
We are planning to have a standard data production QA framework and effort established. This should look into the test samples (or early files) from new productions and perform basic QA like acceptance, tracking performance, dE/dX etc (and also any specific fixes for which the production is targeted for). This will help us establish basic data quality and also quickly identify any issues with the production, and is particularly important as we move towards production of large datasets from 2022 and 23-25
I believe some QA codes exist for this purpose and we have QA helpers from each PWG. I suggest the PWG helpers come up with a list of variables and discuss with the PWGs and then the QA Board can finalize the framework and procedure. Please have discussion in the QA board meeting on this topic and let me know the feedback

Best,
Sooraj
