Hi all,
I have posted my comparisons of the TTree branches generated by the .dev and .DEV2 code into pdf attachments to a STAR blog post here. The text in the post is repasting here below for convenience.
Thanks,
Dave

BLOG text:

There are three attached sets of slides. Each compares the TTrees generated with a bfc chain.

  1. https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/gmt_lib_check.pdf compares trees generated under dev & .DEV2, in which the .DEV2 run includes a bfc chain option for KFVertex
  2. https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/DEV2_v2_noKFVertex.pdf is the same as 1. above, but .DEV2 does not include the bfc chain option for KFVertex
  3. https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/DEV2_KFVertex_effect.pdf compares the .DEV2 with the KFVertex & .DEV2 without the KFVertex

Each set of slides present a histogram of each branch in the tree normalized by number of entries (i.e. it's shape) and compares that shape in ratio to the other TTree's branch.

As of the moment, the really major difference is that the number of events read by the .dev and .DEV2 library versions appears to be comparable; however, there are about twice the number of hits in the .dev TTree.
