Hi Petr,

I checked our previous code, which is Hijing + PYHIA event, and we have a filter to ensure there is at least one D0 which decays to pion and Kaon.

In the filter, I don't think we care about whether the decay happens inside the PYTHIA level or from the GEANT decay.
According to your document, and the class we used (StarFilterMaker.cxx), looks like it is right before tracking, so probably you can take a look and as a reference for your purpose.

Hello Guannan,

this is the note I was refering to:

I'd like to use this to filter events (or ideally tracks) after passing
Geant.
Do you or anyone else have experience with the StMCFilter?

Best regards,
Petr
