Hello Robert,

thank you very much.
There seems to be a difference between positive and negative eta. This could be
cause by the iTPC sector. Do you have a phi distribution of L tracks for these two selections?

Anyway the simulation  vs data difference is still large. So it is likely difference in kinematics.
I can try different way of making the distribution for the tracks inserted into the simulation.

Yuri: sorry for the confusion, I accidentally plotted one of the distributions inversely, but your conclusion is correct, we do not have sector 20, which is the motivation for looking at tracks which avoid this part of TPC.

For data I see a bump at L ~ 32 which indicate that you don’t have  inner sector (sector 20).

based on our conversation on Tuesday,

I have added the comparison of efficiency for data and simulation on slide 25 here:

These efficiencies are for tracks from only one half of the TPC (hopefully without sector 20), with Z > 0 and eta > 0. There is a significant difference still.
