Dear all,

I am writing to inform you that I will be presenting a study on very low pT (<200MeV/c) electrons at both the LFUPC and TPC meetings. Our research has revealed a concerning issue regarding suspicious nHitsDedx numbers for tracks around pT = 100MeV in the Run19 Au-Au 19.6GeV, 14.6GeV, and 200GeV data. However, we did not observe the same issue in the production of Run21 O+O 200GeV data.

It is highly probable that the new dEdx method after SL22b is responsible for this discrepancy. As such, we are requesting the assistance of TPC experts to help us reproduce the old Run19 data and investigate this matter further. The slides is : https://drupal.star.bnl.gov/STAR/system/files/low_pt_electron_Yiding_0.pdf

Thank you for your attention and cooperation. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

BW,
Yiding Han
