Hello Flemming and all.

  1. The problem is to understand difference in outer to inner sector alignment for 2022 with Cosmic for FF and RF samples.

I see overall rotation by ~ 1mrad around Z axis for RF with respect to FF.

 

  1. I have looked in Data Base for parameters of shorts.

My trouble to understand what is going on with 2022 Cosmic for FF and RF   is coming from multiple entries for West Outer Field Cage made 2024-01-25 20:2?:??.

  1. I have a statement : A.Lebedev 05/10/2024 Short IFC 11/18/2021 till end of Run => 1.25 Mom missing resistor, appeared 11/01/2021

And I found in DB the difference in resistor values for my FF sample (0 and 1.5 MOhm) and RF one (1.25 MOhm).

This explains part of observed difference in alignment parameters.

Hi,

Here is the relevant database content for the shorted ring in the IFC west during the cosmic data taking before Run 22, along with the explanations of the database table's fields. I do not have very high confidence in the location ("ring") of the short that I selected. A reminder that a fully shorted pair of rings means that a single 2 MOhm resistor is bypassed ("missing") by the short.
