Hi Yuri
Just realized that in Run23, we were running with low luminosity the entire time. So there should not be much of a difference in luminosity between st_physics and st_mtd. I was thinking of Run25 where MTD data is mainly recorded with high luminosity while
MB data with low luminosity. Sorry for the confusion.
On the other hand, dimuon-vpd100 trigger is highly biased towards central events regardless of the luminosity. So if one plots mean dE/dx vs. refMult, one might see an increasing deviation from 0 towards large refMult and the two streams might agree better.
Best

Hi Rongrong,I have surprise to see the difference. I see the most of difference is coming from inner sector.
st_mtd stream has
st_mtd TriggerIds: 900031|23|900631|
from run browser I see
mb-hlt100 400000 23 [CP] 47 1097395 1.1 M 0%zdc_mb 20 900031 [CP] 1430 5707225601 5.71 B 67.1%dimuon-vpd100 800000000000000 900631 [CP] 722 5379371 5.38 M 0.1%
i.e. mtd stream mainly defined by dimuon-vpd100
What does that mean in sense of luminosity and centrality ?

Hi Yuri
For the difference in dE/dx between st_physics and st_mtd streams, could it be due to different luminosity and centrality ranges sampled by these two streams? I think the st_mtd stream is biased towards high luminosity and central events.
Thanks.
