== Hardware
— TPC was started and a laser run taken
— looked at backgrounds with beam on
— a successful laser run was conducted
— got a drift velocity
— currently 5.53 rather than 5.55 cm/us (may be due to nitrogen, historically?)
— so, we know the TPC can hold voltage
— will be conducting laser runs everyday (at least one per shift = 3 per day)
— found a big leak in connected six-pack
— a new one will be brought today
— should last until Feb. 6th
— all other gases should be sufficient to last to end of STAR running
— will request a cosmics run (access at 3 pm today, will start calorimeter)
— Gene asks how many good laser tracks do we see on each side
— Alexei says its better than 10, but this is based on visibility (not DV calculation)
— magnet is currently full field
— yesterday tested all day (warm) and last night (colder)
— waiting for backup chiller to arrive at BNL
— will connect to ensure we have a good backup

== Electronics
— Tonko planning to start systems and ensure we are ready
— no changes in RDO outages

== Software
— Gene will be working on SC for Run25 p+p and Au+Au
— Yuri ran RHF reconstruction chain to check for use with FXT
— don’t know the effect on net proton

== AOB
— Nothing new brought up this week

Best Regards,
  Richard
