Present: Alexei, Flemming, Jim, Yuri, Gene, and myself
== Hardware & Electronics
— Alexei working hard to facilitate transfer of lasers and associated equipment
— electronics (water manifolds, FEEs, etc.) all removed on east end
— west end work still needs to begin (eToF modules need to be removed first)
— survey will be possible once all electronics have been removed
— surveyors have engineering drawings from Jim
— work in the WAH can only be done by technicians at present
— slows the process a little, but important for the integrity of the work
== Software
— Gene working on EMC calibration of Run 22 data (pp500) confirms old alignment is not very good
— current processing is proceeding with old alignment since it is faster
— will likely be a post-production correction for TPC momenta
— can build on work done by Emmy
— Gene working with Temple student to get it done
— FXT SC calibration work has been finished
— Calibration production on FXT energies has been done for Yuri’s work
— Yuri working on FXT data for 2026
— some issues, lost MIP, but is needed for calibration work
— using simulation to try to understand the effect
— need to account for AADC threshold
— also found new feature in new cluster finder
— some occupancy dependence in dE/dx, possibly due to truncation of clusters
— new cluster finder flags these chopped clusters (missing last 5 time bins in long clusters)
— flags on chopped clusters prevent matching which expects zero flag
— some modification of hit errors will be needed as well due to afterburner(?)
— cluster widths had been observed to be changing over Run 25 (aging?)
— need about 5000 events per run (may help with requirements for disk space, etc.)
— 300 TB of data lost when HLT farm was deactivated
— mostly cosmics
— needed for further work on survey and alignment
— Gene says ~100 TB may be available
== AOB
— Flemming mentioned work on adding FST and its support structures for simulations
— current work is on supporting rings and channels for wire trays and mounting
— 1.8 kg of stainless steel per ring
— still need to install cable trays
— once FST is removed can count cables and check mass of some cut samples
— TPC aging study
— which sector is best for study?
— Yuri does not have a recommendation yet, wants to see photo of used wire vs. new
— Flemming mentioned most sectors had similar cluster shapes during period of interest
— 9 o’clock and 3 o’clock and/or a sector that has all RDOs
— NEXT MEETING: 9 APR 2026
Best Regards,
Richard
