Dear Members of the ATLAS High Luminosity Upgrade Final Design Review Panel:

 

ATLAS has completed its preparation of materials for the Final Design Review (with a couple of exceptions noted below). Please look through these materials this week as we will hold two teleconferences next week to discuss them and to provide feedback to ATLAS in preparation for the face-to-face reviews Sept. 11-13. (By the way, where the website asks for a “key” use p2-lhc as Mike notes below.) Please let Mike Tuts know if you have any problems with access. It all seemed to work for me.

 

As a reminder:

 

• For members of the ATLAS FDR panel:
  • On Monday August 26 at 1pm EDT (~1 hour) – we will discuss the proposal and supporting materials prepared by ATLAS and prepare a brief list of questions for ATLAS about the materials or to make requests for additional information.
  • On Friday August 30 at 1pm EDT – we will hold a joint teleconference with ATLAS where they will respond to the panel’s questions or seek clarification so that they can make final adjustments to their presentations prior to the face-to-face review.

 

I will separately email you with the teleconference access information, and I will send out another reminder next Monday morning August 26.

Dear Mark,

 

The ATLAS review website is ready for distribution to the committee. In addition we have created a zip file with the current website information. Please have a look and see if you have any problems accessing the website or zip file.

 

The only caveat is that the link to “mapping of charge to documentation” is still being updated and will be available tomorrow, so if the committee accesses the website today they will see all the documentation and talks (with the exception of the EPO talk that is still being finalized). The “mapping” link to an excel file will be live on the website by tomorrow (we thought it helpful for the committee to get early access to the documentation even before the map was complete).
