Dear NSF L2/DL2 Managers,

We've had a few requests for clarification of what should be included in the L2 talks at the Aug. 18 NSF IPR  for several specific items. Below is some guidance. Please let us know if you have any comments or questions.

1. COVID BCPs

Please include a summary of the numbers for BCPs 1033 and 1038 (separately). This should take 2-3 slides and includes:

a. Tables with costs and delays by L3 subsystem (see attached spreadsheet for a template). Note: you can get the delays by L3 from the 1033 and 1038 BCPs themselves or from Gustaaf's talk at the DR (slide 19)

b. Brief explanations of main causes for schedule delays.

c. Brief explanation of main causes of cost increases. Be sure to include the fraction of the total cost increase due to escalation.

The last two items (b,c) are what you had in your DR talk. item a is a slight change aimed at making the presentation more uniform.

2. COVID Actuals: do *not* include any discussion of these in the L2 talks. Gustaaf will present these, and their relation to the BCPs, in his talk.

3. Non-COVID Contingency: Use updated numbers from George/Gustaaf for the non-COVID contingency, but other than that keep the same format as for the DR.

4. COVID Risk-based Contingency: Gustaaf will present the simulation results. The L2 talks should have a slide summarizing the COVID risks assumed. We're still deciding whether this should go in the main part of the talk or the backup.
