Dear All

We would like to have a brief teleconference with the NSF review panel and the ATLAS HL upgrade participants at 1pm EDT on Friday, August 13 to discuss the materials that Mike Tuts and his ATLAS colleagues have made available for the review. I will send a separate Zoom invitation to everyone for that meeting. This will be an opportunity to ask for additional information or to provide feedback that will assist the ATLAS team in finalizing their presentations for the review on Wednesday August 18.

For the panelists – NSF will provide Zoom invitations for the executive sessions and plenary sessions on August 18.

Best regards,

Mark

Subject: [EXTERNAL] - Guide to ATLAS NSF review documentation to specific charge questions

Dear George, John, Gil, David, Wayne, Paul, Liang, Paul, Pavel, Bob,

My apologies that it took me longer than I anticipated to make a “guide” to the documentation based on the charge questions. The aim was to provide a document to help you sort through the extensive documentation so you can quickly find the relevant documents and presentations that address the individual charge questions. The attached pdf file is that document and it is also available in DocDB 1129. For the presentations we have put a link to them but indicated which slide numbers are relevant to that question (note that since the posted presentations are still drafts, the slide numbers might change if current slides are added/removed, but it should still get you close to the correct slide). You will also see little yellow boxes in most presentations that reference the specific charge question. We hope this is helpful.

As a reminder I repeat the review website information here.

https://po.usatlas.bnl.gov/HL-LHC/reviews/NSF_Annual_MREFC_Aug_2021/

The documentation is hosted on the DocDB archive at BNL and so when you click on a link on the website you will be prompted for a username and password (it may happen more than once but just repeat with the same credentials listed below). If there are any problems please contact me or Rhoumela Freedman (rfreedman AT bnl.gov )

For any prompt in DocDB, the username and password is:

Username: review

Password: p2-lhc

If/when you get asked for an “access key” to get to the BNL indico page (where the agenda is located) be warned that you may get pop-up immediately when you try to access “Indico Presentations: Plenary Session” from the review website. That access key is “p2-lhc” (same as the password for the DocDB entries).

Cheers, Mike Tuts
