PLEASE PASS THIS ON TO YOUR L3 MANAGERS

Dear L2/L3 Managers:

Now that we are finally able to travel to agency reviews, it is an opportune time to remind you that our policy regarding travel reimbursement for travel to NSF MREFC reviews is that we will support travel up to $1,000 for L2s, L2 deputies and L3 managers. The April 18-20 NSF re-baseline review held at Nevis Labs is our first such review – the attached file provides some relevant logistical information on getting to Nevis, suggested hotels and directions. If you would like to be reimbursed for your travel from the project we ask the following:

  • Make your own travel plans – you should plan to be at the review by 9am on April 18 and until 5pm on April 20.
  • When getting reimbursed from your institution, charge up to $1,000 to your MREFC subaward from Columbia and the balance, if any, to your other sources of travel reimbursement
  • We will, during the next allocation of subaward funding, send you additional funds to cover that travel (up to the $1,000 limit)
  • To know how much we should add to your subaward at the next allocation, send Amy a copy of your travel receipts (following your own institutional guidelines for what is allowed or not allowed to be reimbursed)

We hope this makes it easy for you, and for us. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Garwood at agarwood AT nevis.columbia.edu.

We will post the attached file on the review website when it is available.

We look forward to hosting you at Nevis, Mike & Amy
