Hello all,

Following some discussion, I think it’s important to be explicit about the
role of the “supply chain” risks going forward.

Per NSF policy, contingency can only be used to cover known risks. After
rebaseline, this will include any risks associated with “world events”.
Therefore I advise you to look at the supply chain risk register carefully:
once we are past baseline, if there is a “world events” instance that leads
to a significant cost increase or delay, and that instance was not captured
in the supply chain risk register, we will be forced to *descope* to address
it. (The global commodity volatility risk relates to tariffs and similar
issues, not the world events that are included in the rebaseline.)

So, please make sure you look at the risk register(s) carefully before the
review. We should not expect another bail-out! Also, we will now be held to
good SPI/CPI performance!

Best,

Gustaaf
