U.S. ATLAS HL-LHC Upgrade Level 2 and Deputies-NSF only Management Mailing List

Hi L2 managers,

The planning for the NSF annual review is starting, and we are invited by NSF to suggest a date. This is what we know so far:

 

• Venue: NSF headquarters (at least this is their preference)
• Review: 1 day for ATLAS, and 1 day for CMS (they would like them to be adjacent days for joint committee member purposes)
• Format: 1 day for ATLAS => morning talks from L2s + PO; afternoon for committee writing/questions if any/closeout – we do not yet have a detailed agenda or charge but it is intended to be “light” (after all there is not much you can do in a single morning session)
• Attendance: PO + L2s (+Deputy?), no need for L3s (unless you want to have them on call in specific cases?)

 

That brings us to potential date windows. So, we would like to get an initial response if there are any vetoes for the L2s for the following possible dates (remember we are looking for just one day at NSF, for which the project will support travel as in the past):

• Mon July 15
• Tue July 16
• Wed July 17
• Thu July 18
• Fri July 19
• Mon July 22
• Tue July 23
• Wed July 24
• Thu July 25
• Fri July 26
