John,
Regarding breakouts today, our questions today will include:
Coupling of NSF scope to DOE deliverables (Preamp/Shaper), integration at BNL.
Impact of the War in Ukraine on LAr electronics.
Walking through the choreography of deliverables with respect to a need-by date range.
Discussion of how crate system density risks (thermal, power) were realized and how the re-design of density progressed.
DC-DC converter: COTS solution possible? Radiation tests? Thermal efficiencies and engineering? What is CMS doing? How to address lifetime issues…socketable components? Is there an associated risk in the risk registry?
Burn-in strategy of PCBs. What was done in Phase-I? ATLAS standards?
VTRX+ thermal issues associated with lifetime resolved?
Probably will request a drill-down into the FEB 20-board protype fabrication and testing.
Cheers,
Bob Tschirhart & Paul O’Connor
