ADC
- Production wafers arrived at CERN. Arranging shipment to packager.
- PRR scheduling planned for June.
- Packager (JCET) contacted and ready. Requesting to package the additional engineering run wafers and 2 wafers from each of the 2 production lots (before PRR).
- Robotic test-stand (RTS) integration work ongoing and soft-walled clean room deployed and in use.
- Mass test boards at Austin integrated in robotic setup. Repeatability of testing studies showed initial issues with repeatability. Board and firmware debugging has made significant improvements. Investigating
socket as possible source of issue. Good performance with combination of clean room, socket cleaning, and now identifying the precise source of the improvement.
- Coordination with Saclay on QC parameters ongoing, discussions continue as we understand the test setup reliability.
OPTICS:
- Investigating measurements of spectrum of light emitted by VTRx during QC testing. With firefly in lab considering two setups, one with data-only links to splitter to test with optical spec. analyzer and a second
testing the control links, similar setup. Evaluating purchase of optical spectrum analyzer.
- Initial batch of 345 VTRx+ delivered from CERN and under test.
- Control code in development.
- Student testers hired, and training ongoing.
- Fiber placement on board under study. Discussions with FEB2 designers on exact placement of fiber saddles, holes for saddles and connectors, with modules in the lab with 37 cm pigtails attached. Placement scheme
agreed on.

The reports contain activities for May 2024 ~ October 2024. You can
filter for your CAM name in column D.
**** PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS IN FILLING OUT YOUR STATUS
SHEETS: ****
1. Please provide the status in columns L, M, N, O, and S. Make sure
you provide the **Expected Finish** date (column O) for all
*activities in progress*. This is important for us to re-calculate
EAC, the float, and the critical path.
2. The remaining units are calculated based on the original duration of
the activity and the percent complete. Please provide **Units to
Complete* in column S* for activities in progress. It is if you
expect to use more or less labor for a specific task to be completed
or the cost for material/travel is different than originally
planned. Column T shows Total Cost per resource from P6. Columns U
(Remaining Cost based on the remaining units from P6), V (Updated
Remaining Cost, also called ETC or Estimate-to-Complete), W (EAC or
Estimate at Complete, calculated based on updated units) and X
(Delta EAC minus baseline cost) are formula fields that provide
calculations on how the cost changes when the Remaining Units are
adjusted.
3. Make sure that you enter the actual start date for all started
activities and finish date for all activities that are 100%
completed. All *_NEW_* actual start and finish dates *MUST
BE* within the current reporting period.
4. Do *NOT *change the actual start dates if they are already in the
spreadsheet – EVMS does not allow changing the past. If the actual
start date was entered incorrectly in the previous month just leave
it as it is.
5. Do *NOT* enter dates after May 31, 2024, in *actual* start/finish
dates (columns M and N); this creates errors in P6.
6. Do *NOT* decrease the percent complete in column L.
7. Do *NOT* write any notes in the spreadsheet. If you want to add a
comment use column Y.
8. Do *NOT* change the formatting of the cell once you edit it. The
spreadsheet will automatically highlight the change in yellow.

sheet you can contact your project controls specialist and ask for her
help with statussing the activities directly in P6.
