Dear All,
Below please find the minutes from our eRHIC IR Design meeting that was held on Friday, 5/25/2018. Please note that our next meeting will be on Friday June 8, at 3 pm.
    Greetings,
        Bill

Minutes from the eRHIC IR Design meeting held on 5/25/18

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
* We started with a brief discussion of the agenda for the meeting.

* Elke reminds the group that she and Alexander would like to have the parameter table for the High Acceptance configuration.
    - Elke also indicated that Charles is working with Alexei on the vacuum design to reduce the impedance.

* pCDR Update: Elke
    - Elke is pursuing some additional information from people.
    - Elke asks about who contributed text to the IR section of the pCDR.
        - Bob indicates that he will write a paragraph.

* We walked through Bob's Figures:Attached
    - First plot shows the synchrotron fan
    - Points out that at some point we might want to eliminate B1Er, and increase strength of B2Er.
    - Elke makes the point that Q1Er and Q1Pr, separate in the Fig., show up as a single combined function magnet in the Table. Need to update the table to reflect the Fig.
    - Second Fig. Bob would like to get and include details about the luminosity monitor.
    - Third Fig., Bob points out that it reflects a hole in the neutron detector for the outgoing hadron beam.
        - Elke points out that for the Roman pots that are now planned to be used they will just be vertical pots.
        - High divergence beam envelope shown on the fig.
    - Fourth Fig., Has included the RHIC magnets
    - Shows how close the crab cavity gets to the hadron magnet cryostat.

* Next Qiong walks us through the model figures provided by Doug:Attached.
    - One Crab Cavity (CC) consists of two cryostats
        - 2 cavities/cryostat
            - All 4 cavities would always be in use simultaneously.
    - Update on CERN CC testing, Wednesday (May 23rd) @ 1pm, the CERN CC saw the first evidence of crabbing of the beams!

* We discuss Doug's IR region plot.

* Alexei points out that he is working with Charles. There is a modified vacuum design for Alexei to use in his simulations.

* Kyle gives a presentation on the repository software/system
    - Kyle will send out a link to the site
    - Elke points out that we should use the "OPA source" version of GIT that the Software group uses.
    - Kyle gives a real time demo of GIT.
    - Brief discussion about where this GIT repository should sit.
        - Should be on a BNL supported server.

* Next meeting two weeks from today (i.e. on June 8th) at 3 pm.
    Draft Agenda:
        - Update on impedance by Alexei
        - Update on Simulations
        - pCDR changes and/or needs by Elke
        - AOB
                        End of the meeting.
