Dear ECCE Enthusiasts:
It is our pleasure to invite you to our kick-off meeting for the ECCE Diffractive and Tagging Physics Working Group.
Please see our working group information and resource page below:
https://wiki.bnl.gov/eicug/index.php/Diffractive_and_Tagging_Physics_Working_Group_Page
As you may notice that there is a list of processes under the physics reaction section, however, we would like to emphasize that the scope of our group is not limited to the list. We encourage everyone to join our discussion and contribute to the existing or new physics topics.
We would like to hold the kick-meeting sometime next week, please enter the following link to specify your availability:
https://www.when2meet.com/?11772327-G6uWc
The goals of our working group can be briefly summarized as follows:
1. Making a physics benchmarks-based recommendation on the ZDC design for the ECCE proposal.
2. Verifying Hadron-End Cap design is capable of meeting the YR specification (pi/K separation power of 3sigma).
3. Ensuring acceptance of Hadron-End Cap meets the requirement specified in the yellow report.
4. More...
Please note that these goals are tentative and are subject to group discussions for improvements.
Last but not the least, our first priority (with the Simulation Working Group) is to make fun4all works for your physics, we encourage you to try out fun4all framework, the instruction below: https://ecce-eic.github.io/tutorials_day1.html
We look forward to your participation,
Many thanks
Axel & Bill
