HI Keaghan,

We merged the next detector concept into the master macros branch last week with significant changes. If you wish to use the older concept then you can source an earlier environment with:

source /cvmfs/eic.opensciencegrid.org/ecce/gcc-8.3/opt/fun4all/core/bin/ecce_setup.sh -n <build_version>

where <build_version> would be something like new.3 or ana.14

You can see the available builds under:

ls -ltrh /cvmfs/eic.opensciencegrid.org/ecce/gcc-8.3/release/release_ana/

To use the latest version of the detector, you can just run a git pull if you’re using our macros and are on the master branch or do a fetch and merge if you have your own fork.

Cheers,
Cameron

Hello Cameron and Jin,

I was emailing because I was wondering if the update to the detector configuration caused the old data files to become obsolete. When I run my macros over the old electron and pion data files the included G4Setup_EICDetector.C  file throws up this error:

In file included from ./G4Setup_EICDetector.C:28:
/cvmfs/eic.opensciencegrid.org/ecce/gcc-8.3/release/release_new/new.3/rootmacros/G4_Tracking_EIC.C:112:15: error: no member named 'LFHCAL' in namespace 'Enable'

I am assuming that the file has changed with the new update but I wanted to make sure.

Thanks,

Keaghan Knight
