  a reminder that our (bi)weekly meeting tomorrow will start at 12pm NY time:

  The main topic of this meeting is perhaps a discussion related to the recent FY24 R&D call, with the proposals due on July 7. Given the fact that in a year from now we must conduct a prototype beam test anyway, to be on time for CD-2, it would be rather natural to package all the related activities into a concise proposal appropriate for this call.

  Be aware that in principle by early 2024 we may have all the critical components available: new aerogel, new HRPPDs, and perhaps even the ASIC boards. If we identify the manpower, it may be very tempting to actually construct "a scaled down pfRICH", with as many subsystems included as we manage to incorporate, rather than to perform a "component test", a "proof of principle pi/K separation" and such. Let's discuss this in the meeting tomorrow.
