  Thank you Sean,

  So, if we consider trapeziodal pfRICH tiles fitting into a 140mm x 140mm footprint, I conclude that (1) a horizontal travel is sufficient for a scan in one go, while (2) in a vertical travel we have only 60mm (while we need >70mm, to perform one complete scan in two passes). 

  By the way, 18mm diameter is what, precisely? An uncollimated beam size (then matching the opening in the integrating sphere)? This effectively reduces the vertical travel by a point when the table starts obscuring the integrating sphere opening, right?
