  Dear All,

  Let me thank everybody who worked hard over the course of 2023, contributing to the success of our pfRICH Subsystem Collaboration.  If one recalls where we were as a proto-DSC in December 2022, and compare to where we are now, it was indeed a very encouraging year. On a very short time scale we came up with a solid detector design and a competitive proposal, succeeded in the March backward RICH review, looked good in the PID review in July, became part of the ePIC baseline design, got several new strong member groups on board, and made a substantial progress in a pretty much every aspect of the practical detector implementation.

  Let's follow this positive trend in 2024 as well, towards a successful pfRICH prototype beam test in Spring, and a Final Design Review in Fall.

  Following the recommendation of the ePIC management, we are going to cancel all pfRICH-related meetings in the next two weeks, although it is expected that several activities (vessel / mirrors / electronics in particular) will de facto experience only a minor interruption due to a holiday break.
