Hi Jihee,
Thanks a lot for your nice abstract. I have a few comments and suggestions:
-
L2: you might consider replacing platform with facility.
-
L3–4: it could be helpful to introduce the ePIC detector immediately after the EIC, and to state early on the role of the pfRICH as a PID detector in the electron-going (backward) region, rather than introducing it later.
-
L3–5: I would probably avoid focusing exclusively on “exploring the properties of gluons in nucleons and nuclei”, as the EIC physics program is much broader.
-
L5–6: the reference to the White Paper does not seem essential here and could be removed to keep the abstract more concise.
-
L15–18: the description of the pfRICH layout could likely be made more succinct, with some geometrical details condensed.
-
L19–24: it might be useful to emphasize earlier what is actually presented in the talk, in particular:
-
mirror reflectivity and uniformity measurements,
-
HRPPD performance and characterization, including magnetic-field studies.
At present, these points appear relatively late in the abstract.
-
Overall, the abstract could benefit from a tighter focus on mirror performance and HRPPD studies, with just enough detector context for a DIS audience.
Thanks a lot,
Charles
Dear All,I would like to submit an abstract on mirror evaluation efforts and preliminary results from the HRPPD magnetic-field performance study for the WG6 Current Upgrades and Future Experiments session at DIS2026.Please find the abstract draft attached, and I would greatly appreciate any comments or suggestions you may have. Thank you!Best regards,
Jihee
