Hi Dmitry,

The Roundcube web client is less than perfect for sure. I prefer Thunderbird which
is solid and has decent search capabilities.

And so I'm using SSH tunnels on both Ubuntu and Windows machines
which I do not find cumbersome, not even a little bit.

It's easy to define an alias and then type it a short command, it's all automatic.

I never liked Gmail e.g. lack of normal folders, and I've heard same from others.

Looks like yet another reason to use Gmail instead of SDCC-hosted email service, IMHO. My other reasons: Roundcube web interface is lacking proper email search (hangs on "body" search) and has a buggy android app, while thunderbird (or another local mail client) requires an SSH tunnel or VPN to work - very cumbersome.

Hi folks,

sdcc renewed the mail server certificate today - which basically means
clients like thunderbird stopped receiving mail without notice. Upon
restart or if you ask for new messages you get prompted about a new
certificate (claiming it's not valid), make an exception for it and
you should be back in business.

Chris
