Attached are the slides from the Jam info session last week, requested by many of you. The pertinent info is in the last 4 slides of the deck, the other slides included are the FASST presentation at John’s AI workshop which many of you requested as well. Please note that the details, logistics and rules of engagement for the Jam session are still evolving very fast. We anticipate that the broadcast of the CFP and the opening of the registration site will happen this week, however, it’s not nailed down yet. When things settle, we’ll send detailed instructions and organize another info session. Please feel free to distribute this email in your organizations, and ask me questions directly.

Hello:

 

In preparation for the anticipated, 1000 Scientists Jam Session, the Computing and Data Sciences (CDS) directorate will host an Information Session to go over some of the details concerning this event.

 

The Information Session will cover the Jam Sessions’ rules for engagement and the application process for interested parties, as well as project preparation and prerequisites, including experience using foundation models, and post-mortem participation in the results assessment and interaction with the model.

 

CDS Deputy Director Adolfy Hoisie will moderate the one-hour Information Session, which will include time for questions and answers.

 

Where: Building 725, CDS Training Room 2-124 (in person) and via Zoom

When: Tuesday, January 28th at 2PM EST

 

No RSVP is required to attend.
