A really well conceived exciting proposal and now funded project. NPPS will participate with ~0. 4 FTE, we have to figure out exactly how. I encourage interested people to engage. Torre ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Viviana Cavaliere

Hi all,

We recently received a DOE grant to contribute to the American Science Cloud initiative. For those interested, here's the full project proposal we submitted in collaboration with ANL, Fermilab, LBNL, and SLAC:

Basically over the next two years, we'll convert HEP collider datasets into AI-ready formats through tokenization and standardization. This will enable us to develop foundation models and advance physics research across multiple areas including jet tagging, tracking, anomaly detection, and Higgs physics.  BNL’s specific focus includes but is not limited to: low-level detector data tokenization (tracking applications), trigger-level data tokenization (real-time anomaly detection, triggerless workflows), Belle II and FCC-ee dataset integration, intelligent data compression for real-time application. The corresponding physics applications are : Higgs rediscovery and cross-experiment anomaly detection, etc...

I’d like to have a meeting with those interested to discuss BNL scope in more detail. We need to finalize our specific deliverables and milestones on a short timeline. Please fill out this poll by tomorrow if you'd like to participate:

Hope to see many of you there,

Viviana
