FYI. Name suggestions welcome, this would be on  the model of using the time of expert(s) to lead and guide new effort, and backfilling them with some of the new effort funded by LSST

Hi Torre,

To follow up our discussion in the corridor the other day – I now talked to Phil Marshall who is now the LSST Ops director re possible BNL involvement in the LSST DM software. His reaction was positive and he suggested that we could collaborate on that with Princeton (which is responsible for this). Not sure what would happen and if this will have enough traction but we did have some serious showing in LSST with Panda applications.

Anyway could you give me a couple of possible names with a sentence or two describing their expertise which I could pass along re including them in the LSST Ops plans?

Best, Andrei
