Dear EIC software conveners,

         You might know that the Los Alamos National Laboratory just starts a new heavy flavor and jet program for the future EIC with Ivan Vitev as the PI and myself as the Co-PI. We proposes a forward silicon tracking for the future EIC and we would like to develop the relevant design and verify the performance based on the official EIC software framework.

         We just had a meeting with Bernd about this. We would like to understand the plan and the time scale of the EIC software from you. And we would like to contribute to the EIC software developments such as developing the forward silicon tracking design in GEANT, testing the available EIC software codes and etc.
