 ny of you already know\, the EIC project has launched a\n"Call for Express
 ions of Interest for Potential Cooperation on the EIC Experimental Program
 ”\,\nDetails are at https://www.bnl.gov/eic/EOI.php.\n\nSince BNL is the
  site\, and one of the two host laboratories\, for the EIC\, it is importa
 nt\nthat the BNL response to this call is well coordinated.\n\nSince the s
 ubmission date is November 1\, we think it is timely to\nstart discussions
  on the BNL response.\n\nFor the first brainstorming discussion\, we thoug
 ht it best to limit the attendance to\ngroup leaders in the physics depart
 ment\, or a delegate if you can't attend\,\nwhile for later meetings we pl
 an to expand the attendance\, including to\npeople outside the physics dep
 artment.\n\nAs meeting times we would like to suggest Thursday Aug 20th 3:

 tributions to the EoI:\nShould Brookhaven National Lab and/or Jefferson La
 b submit?\nBoth BNL and TJNAF have a vested interest in the scientific out
 come of the EIC and plan to cooperate under a partnership agreement. As su
 ch\, BNL in association with TJNAF will first and foremost act as host for
  the EIC Project\, and both actively work together towards the timely and 
 successful completion of the EIC Project\, its experimental equipment\, an
 d the implementation of the EIC experimental program. Therefore\, individu
 al EOIs from BNL and TJNAF should instead detail the resources and experti
 se available to the EIC project. However\, it is expected that BNL and/or 
 TJNAF may join other institutions and/or consortia in their EOIs.\n\n\n
