I may have missed a few people in sending out this email. I apologize for not including you. This is an important discussion and I would like to extend it to you all. Please forward it to any group leader or PM or supervisor or Admin support if the manager
can’t be there. I feel that you all should be a part of this discussion. We may request for tomorrow evening. Please provide feedback if necessary.

Subject: COVID Discussion
Hi All,
I feel that as a Directorate we should highly consider a discussion to revisit a few topics concerning COVID-19 and the extended phase 2 limited operations. Since the recovery plan update has been approved by DOE, there has been multiple new cases at the laboratory
and the rates are slowly increasing around the local area. The goal of this meeting/discussion would be to address certain topics. During this meeting I will try to ask Dr. Falco or Dr. Subramini to participate in this discussion if requested.
Topics to Discuss, but are not limited to:
- User, guest and Visitors Request
- Lunch policy
- Working Environment/ Shared Offices
- Vacation (especially to high risk states)
- ROOP-Q form and Laboratory Posture versus NYS guidelines
- Potential Operational Barriers
- Contact Tracing
This discussion is not out of fear for the recent cases, but an approach to ensure the best safe practices and policies are in place for our employees and their families. Also to continue to mitigate the risk and spread of COVID-19 within our Directorate. We can provide the necessary tools and policies tour staff at the end of the month during our Directorate All Hands meeting. I am open to other considerations and would like to request your help on this. Please share with me your thoughts and the best time to conduct this discussion. (My recommendation would be Friday 10/16/2020 or if we have the time at the Directorate meeting Monday)
Thank you all for your help.
Respectfully,
Brandon L. Thorne CSM, CSPO
