I signed up but I may need to back out, I also don't have an urgent case although that's likely to change!

_______________________________________________Hi all,
As Tony mentioned in the NPPS meeting, here's the invitation to IC future planning. This is an opportunity for us to have input to how the IC and its heterogeneous resources evolve. Add FPGAs? Add ARM? Do/don't buy GPU architecture X? etc. By default I will plan to participate but I'd be happy to pass it to someone interested to represent us. If you have input to their planning please share it, I'm sure we're all interested.Torre

Hi All,
The BNL Institutional Cluster (IC) and its associated resources
(high-performance disk storage system,
Infiniband low-latency network interconnect, etc) is turning 5 years old
in early Fall 2021, and we
are starting a discussion on the acquisition of the next generation HPC
resources (computing, storage,
network, etc) at BNL.
I am reaching out to you because you are a past/current user or have
expressed an interest in using
the IC. We would like to ask you to contribute to the discussion about
the needs, constraints and
timelines of your community and by participating in the evaluation of
testbeds that will guide the
design and specifications of the next generation of HPC resources at
BNL.
Below is a Doodle poll to help us find a suitable time for our first
meeting. If you are unable to
participate in the meeting, please designate someone else who can
represent your community in the
poll. When the meeting is scheduled, I will include a tentative agenda
to guide our initial discussion.
